In House-Manufacturing Allows Onanon to Excel as the Best Cable Assembly Manufacturer

Onanon has in-house manufacturing, guaranteeing companies rapid prototyping and quality products. Onanon’s manufacturing capabilities include automated cable cutting and wire stripping, low pressure molding and overmolding using medical grade TPU and Silicone, machining of critical components of assemblies, automated pin loading, and custom packaging. This in-house equipment allows Onanon to be the best cable assembly manufacturer.

Our engineers have optimized our manufacturing capabilities and are always looking to improve even more. This focus has led to an overall acceleration of the manufacturing process, resulting in faster production times and increased efficiency. These advancements not only streamline operations but also enhance overall productivity, allowing us to meet higher demands and maintain consistent quality. This in turn translates to companies receiving a quality product at a lower cost.

Global Cable Manufacturer

The automated process of loading pins on boards allows us to stay cost competitive with companies overseas, as we can load about 2,000 contacts in a minute. Our engineers created this equipment so we can excel at manufacturing cable assemblies and connectors quickly. We can stay cost competitive with manufacturers overseas, even shipping our products to China and India. This streamlined process also allows us more time to focus more on designing and building quality products.

We know how crucial it is to have connectors work exactly as needed so Onanon provides rapid prototyping, which means designs come to life in just a fraction of the time it normally takes in the industry. Not only this, but Onanon tests its products and ensures their working capabilities. Especially for products used in the medical industry, we know lives depend on the connection of our medical cable assemblies working.

RoboSolder

Another benefit of Onanon’s manufacturing is RoboSolder, an automated wire termination system created by Onanon. It focuses on automating the soldering process in manufacturing by heating pins from their front side, while the wire is inserted into the solder cup on the back side.

The machine is shaped as a table where the top is the workspace. It connects to a foot pedal which, when stepped on, moves the heating element to the next pin. Different, customizable templates allow RoboSolder to work many different pin layouts. This machine is incredibly helpful, especially with high density pin layouts. The components that are soldered are packed with wires and are extremely small. Some are even as small as a dime.

Benefits of Automated Manufacturing Cable Assemblies

Eliminates Human Error: By automating the soldering process, there becomes a limited chance of error.

Improved and Uniform Quality: This process provides consistent solder joints. This also improves quality as there is no chance of cold solder joint. It also ensures that each joint is accurately placed and secure.

High Speed: Robots can work continuously without breaks, significantly increasing production speed. Our connectors are small and highly dense with pins, which can be difficult to solder quickly and manually.

Reduces Strain: This repetitive task can cause strain on humans which is eliminated with use of the machine. This improves overall worker morale and safety.
